Custom Curtains for RVs and Campers

Custom curtains for RVs and campers: what works in a small rolling space, and an honest look at whether made-to-measure panels fit the job.

RV windows are small, oddly sized, and nothing like house windows, which is exactly why the curtains that came with the rig rarely fit well. Custom sizing can help, with a few honest caveats. Here is how to think about curtains in a camper.

Why RV windows are their own problem

RV windows come in a patchwork of small sizes, often with curves, slides, and frames that sit nearly flush with the wall. Ready-made curtains almost never fit them. The factory curtains that do fit are usually thin, plain, and chosen for cost rather than comfort.

That is the real opportunity for custom: panels cut to the exact inch for windows no store stocks, in colors that make a small space feel like yours.

What matters in a rolling home

Weight and bulk matter more in an RV than in a house. Every ounce rides with you, and heavy fabric on a flimsy mount will pull free on rough roads. Whatever you hang, mount it into solid structure, not just the wall panel.

Privacy matters more too. Campgrounds put neighbors ten feet from your window, and a small space at night with the lights on is a fishbowl. Drawn panels handle that completely, and proper fullness means no gaps at the edges where the fabric meets the wall.

Light control for sleep is the third job, and here we will be straight with you: our satin dims a space gently but is not a blackout fabric. If you need full darkness for sleeping past sunrise, pair curtains with a blackout shade, the same trick that works in bedrooms at home.

Where our curtains fit, and where they may not

Our made-to-measure panels can be cut to the small, exact sizes RV windows need, and 22 colors means you can actually coordinate a space that usually makes do with beige. For a stationary trailer, a glamper, or a gently used rig with residential-style rods, they can work beautifully.

The honest limits: many RVs use track systems or hardware designed for specific OEM curtains, and our panels are made for standard curtain rods. RV life also means dust, cooking in a tiny space, and frequent cleaning. If your setup needs track-mounted hardware or fabric you can throw in a wash every week, we may not be the right fit, and we would rather say so.

Measure everything twice

In a space this small, an inch is a lot. Measure each window's width and the drop from your planned rod position in exact inches, and remember that RV walls are rarely square. Measure both sides and use the shorter number.

Our measuring guide covers the technique, and the configurator prices any size you enter. Small windows mean small panels, which makes an RV one of the most affordable places to try custom. Questions about whether your setup will work? Ask us through the Contact page before you order.
